Center Moriches Robotics Team has just held their first annual bowling night. The night was a success, with over 80 people attending. Friends and family joined and supported the robotics members to raise a total of $1100. The money will help the club in the purchase of tools and supplies. Bowling Night was held on December 4 from 9 to 11 at Wildwood Bowling Center. Money was raised through selling tickets, a 50/50 raffle, and a lottery for a pair of Beats Audio Headphones. Everyone had a lot of fun as the robotics members got to show their skill (or lack of) in bowling. We would like to thank Begas for donating the pair of Beats headphones. The night was a great way to prepare for the upcoming build season. During build season, the team will have to design and construct a robot to complete certain tasks, unknown until the start of build season. They will then compete with their robot at Hofstra University against schools from all around the nation and from other nations such as Brazil, Israel, and Canada. Overall, the night was a really fun way to earn the needed money to build a robot and get a competitive edge.
